BMW X6 2021 review: Specifications, features, disadvantages and prices

Cars – If you dream of owning a luxury SUV that combines performance, luxury and attractive exterior design, there is no doubt that the BMW X6 2021 will be at the top of the list of cars you are considering, as it offers its owners a comfortable cabin with precise steering experience, strong performance and even good reliability, Therefore, today we will tell you about all its advantages and disadvantages during its review.

the design

The most important thing that may distinguish the BMW X6 in the opinion of many is its elegant and highly attractive design. It comes in the form of an SUV coupe with a sharply sloping roof. It may be the model that started this trend primarily in the world of cars, as it leads with its interface that includes a front grille. Wide, large LED headlights and a massive lower bumper make it look like a big sports car high off the ground.

This feeling is complemented by its advent from the sides, with a low center line under the door handles for a more dynamic look, with long and slender rear windows and a strongly curved roof, in addition to a clear protrusion around the wide fenders that complement the borrowed taillights from the 8 Series that are almost connected to each other via a light strip such as The new Porsche 911, in addition to the presence of an upper spoiler integrated into the roof and a lower spoiler integrated into the luggage door.

Cabin and TechnologiesBMW X6

Inside the cabin, the BMW X6 reveals its true luxury through high-end leather upholstery covering the seats and various surfaces, in addition to luxury sports seats with strong support for different parts of the body and adjustable height of the headrests, which are available with options for heating, cooling and even massage, while the rear seats provide The seating area is spacious and comfortable, except for taller passengers who may struggle with a tilted roof that significantly affects headroom.

On the technical side, we find the iDrive infotainment system, which consists of two 12.3-inch screens next to each other in the center console and behind the steering wheel. From Harman Kardon with 16 speakers, or the most luxurious sound system from Bowers & Wilkins with 20 speakers, in addition to dual-zone air conditioning and automatic opening of the luggage compartment lid.

The BMW X6 did not get international safety tests, which is common with expensive luxury cars, but it is certainly a very high level of safety, and it comes with several advanced safety technologies that include blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and forward collision alert. And the rear with automatic emergency braking, with an option for another safety package that includes additional assistance technologies and a control system as well as lane-keeping assistance and a traffic assistant in busy traffic.

performance and consumption

On the performance side, the BMW X6 comes with two engine options as follows:

  • 6-cylinder 3-liter twin-turbo engine with 335 hp and 447 Nm torque, accelerating 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds with an average consumption of 10 km/l
  • A 4.4-liter V8 with 523 hp and 750 Nm of torque, accelerating 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, with an average consumption of 6.5 km/l.

The first and most important disadvantage of the BMW X6 is its very high fuel consumption, especially in the higher and more sporty classes, although this is expected with a luxury sports SUV in this way, but what is not expected is that it suffers from limited luggage space compared to its competitors in the category of other luxury mid-size SUVs. Also, due to the nature of the roof design, it suffers from limited rear vision.

the prices

The BMW X6 price in Saudi Arabia starts from 430,000 riyals, while its global price starts from 65,050 dollars.
